Proud to be Slovenian Day 2021
PROUD TO BE SLOVENIAN DAY at Slovenska Pristava – Sunday, June 27, 2021
Come celebrate this fun day filled with “ALL THINGS SLOVENIAN”. What better way to celebrate being Slovenian than by collaborating with other Slovenian organizations, who will showcase what they do for our community. If you are a Slovenian organization or Artisan who would like to showcase what you do, please contact email@example.com or call (216) 678-0933 to reserve a table and get details.
As always, we will start off this wonderful picnic with Mass at 12:30pm at the Chapel with Father John Kumse as celebrant.
Please avoid driving past the chapel during mass.
Dinners will be available at 1:30pm.
We are asking the AMAZING and TALENTED Bakers of our Slovenian community to bring their most special desserts for all to admire and eat!
Bakers, please drop off these scrumptious items before Mass and also make sure to sign in with your name and type of dessert.
We thank all these bakers who warm our hearts with their gift of baked goods! Hvala Lepa.
There will be face painting and a coloring contest for the younger children and a writing contest (essay or poem) of “Why I am Proud To Be a Slovenian” for the older children. Children can color or write their papers at home and bring them, but they will also have the option to create at the picnic.
We will also showcase our new hall area by providing guests with tours of the addition.
The pool will be open and you can also have fun taking a chance at winning an item at the Chinese or 50/50 raffle.
Music and dancing to follow.
We are now accepting donations for the Chinese Raffle. Volunteers are needed to work the raffles, pool, kitchen, bar, face painting, ticket selling and more!
Email firstname.lastname@example.org to volunteer or donate. To receive updated information, like us on Facebook, refer to the website or call the information hotline at 440-290-9615.
All are invited to spend the day at Pristava enjoying a “little piece of Slovenia”. Bring a friend and see you at Pristava!
