A roasted pig and breaded chicken with white wine sauce, potato, in-season vegetable medley, bread, dessert and coffee ($20), will be served at 1:30pm.

The kitchen will be open at 3pm to serve their famous Pristava burgers, fries, and klobase as well as ice cream treats for the kiddos. Čevapčiči dinners will be available at 4pm.

There will be a variety of activities focusing on our Slovenian heritage that will be available for all to enjoy such as:

·     Learn how to make two Slovenian favorites- čevapčiči and coleslaw at 3pm

·     Visit different areas where you can read, listen or watch “stories about our Slovenian heritage”

·     Mark your roots on the Slovenia Map and create your family tree

·     Bring your whole family for a family photo session which will be located in the new hall

·     Enjoy Kava and Torte in Lobe Hall at 4:30pm

·     Bring your accordion and join in for an Accordion Jam Session on stage at 5pm

·     There will be Slovenian themed merchandise for sale (t-shirts, hats, license plate covers, jewelry, bumper stickers, lovely handmade aprons, bags and more!

·     Plus… there will be a fantastic Slovenian basket raffle, a bake sale featuring homemade baked items from members of Slovenska Pristava, a children’s craft area, as well as balinca and Torok lessons.

·     The pool will be open (weather permitting)

·     Entertainment will be provided by Fešta Bend and Veseli Godci.

·     There is no entrance fee and parking is free. This picnic will be held rain or shine.

·     Proud To Be Slovenian Day is presented by the Slovenian American Times in collaboration with Slovenska Pristava. The American Mutual Life Association (AMLA) is a proud sponsor of this picnic.

·     We ask the bakers of the Slovenian Community to please bring their “specialty” baked good for the bake sale.
